CBS Renews #LifeinPieces But Not #KevinCanWait

Why you ask?

Well, Life will go on for the Short family.

TVLine is reporting that CBS has renewed the ensemble comedy Life in Pieces for a fourth season.

The series' cast that includes Betsy Brandt, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Thomas Sadoski and Dianne Wiest are members of a sprawling family whose lives play out in four short stories each week. You can catch the two-episode season finale Thursday, May 17th on CBS.

Along with Life, CBS also renews Criminal Minds, Instinct, Man with a Plan and Celebrity Big Brother.

But for Kevin Can Wait, it seems that Donna got the last laugh as CBS canceled the show after it's the second season.

The show underwent a major overhaul in Season 2, after a very successful first season. Original cast member Erinn Hayes was let go and essentially replaced by Kevin James' former King of Queens co-star Leah Remini, who plays Kevin's former police partner Vanessa Cellucci. Together the two started a private security firm, with much of the second season focused on their business.

The show averaged a 1.2 demo rating with a 6.4 million weekly total viewers, that was down 25 and 16 percent from its first season and hit a series low as of recently as April 30. It ranked as decent enough as fourth among all other CBS comedies behind The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and Mom.
